Women today are undergoing a significant transition from being confined within their households to becoming breadwinners and decision-makers in their families. With newfound empowerment, women are now able to raise their voice against suppression, alcoholism, and other social injustices and inequalities. However, they often face challenges that cannot be overcome alone. This sometimes leads to conflicts within closed societies or families, as some men perceive their authority being threatened by women’s progress. Consequently, instances of domestic violence and separations occur.
To support women in these difficult situations, Sri Sakthi Trust, as a member of Lol Adalath in Nilakottai Munsif Judicial, provides free legal guidance, counseling, and support. We also conduct legal awareness programs to educate women about their rights within the family and society.
