Women’s Development via Self-Help Groups (SHGs):

We empower women through the formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Currently, we have formed 4008 women SHGs across 850 villages, benefitting 49,780 members. These SHGs practice savings and credit management based on self and mutual help, ensuring sustainable income for the members. Since 2002, we have been working as a Business Correspondence with ICICI Bank, further enhancing economic independence for these women. We also conduct Group Training Programs to help SHG members realize their full potential and develop necessary skills, knowledge, and patience.

Women’s Development Trainings:

We conduct various programs aimed at empowering women, such as livelihood training and credit support, in collaboration with State and Central Government departments like the Ministry of Handicrafts, NABARD, and Karur Vysya Bank. Our unique initiatives include training women in diverse art forms like embroidery and paintings inspired by Indian tribal art, such as Madhubani, Pattachitra, Kalamkari, Gond, Warli, Mural, and Tanjore.

Additionally, we provide skill development training with a special focus on addressing malnutrition. Our “food processing techniques” training promotes the use of millets and pulses for creating healthy food for children, women, and the elderly.

Self-Employment Opportunities:

Our organization has trained more than 8,600 educated and uneducated youth towards self-employment since 2001. We provide technical guidance and access to bank loans to support them in starting their own income-generating business activities. Additionally, we run four tailoring training centers where over 360 women receive free training in tailoring, embroidery, and fabric painting, enabling them to become financially independent. Through various government programs, we have also trained around 3,120 farmers in different agricultural technologies.
