Sakthi Shuttle court & Badminton club
With the aim of encouraging athletic pursuits among rural youth, a 25-cent/ 11,000 Sq.ft and worth of Rupees 30 Lakhs, was donated for the construction of an indoor stadium suitable for professional badminton training.
A Modern Indoor Badminton Stadium is also maintained by SRI SAKTHI TRUST for the above purpose. The Stadium was constructed and opened by Hon’ble Minister Mr.I.Periyasamy B.A,BGL, and Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Dindigul Constituency Mr.N.S.V.Chithan under MP’s Constituency Development Fund in Dr.S.P.Jothi Sakthivel, Managing Trustee’s family property of vacant land which was donated for this purpose.
In addition to the stadium, we have established a Badminton Club in Ayyampalayam for rural students and youth. The club currently has nearly 50 members actively participating in club activities, receiving regular coaching and training. We particularly focus on students from Mahalakshmi Girls Hr. Sec. School, Batlagundu, and N.S.V.V. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Pattiveeranpatti. Moreover, we organize a district-level tournament every year.
